IT support for the entire University.
University IT infrastructure usually goes unnoticed while it works as it should. Behind network access, user accounts, servers, teaching platforms and classroom support are the Center’s staff, their knowledge, experience and day-to-day work. They maintain, connect and develop these systems, and their expertise is what makes the Center what it is.
Technology aligned with study, teaching and work
The Center is a University of Dubrovnik organizational unit responsible for the development and reliable operation of its information infrastructure. Its work goes beyond fixing faults: it also plans new solutions, protects systems, supports teaching and helps users work with digital tools safely and without unnecessary obstacles.
The Center supports University units and locations as a whole. User support, network infrastructure, cybersecurity and e-learning are therefore treated as connected parts of one system.
Three responsibilities, one team
The Center works across three connected areas, organized into three departments and their offices. This overview presents their remit rather than individual posts.

The Center’s development builds on the team’s experience
Tihi Bilas, MComp, has headed the Center since 1 July 2017, succeeding Karlo Tutek-Primorac, dipl. ing., who remains a member of the Center. Today’s team brings together expertise in networks and servers, user and software support, and e-learning.
The Head coordinates infrastructure development, security policies, user support and educational activities, aligning the Center’s work with the needs of University leadership, units, teaching staff, employees and students.
Meet the Center teamConnected to University and national infrastructure
The Center works with University units and services as well as national organisations supporting academic networking and digital education, particularly CARNET and the University Computing Centre (Srce). This cooperation supports network reliability, system security, digital identities and e-learning development.
